The chemical and parachemical industry also occupies and important place in the economy of the region with an annual turnover of nearly 5 billion dirhams i.e. 24% of regional industrial turnover. To speed up the development of the industrial sector, the region has seen the creation of new industrial zones in Ouled Teïma and Sidi Bibi and the rehabilitation of older industrial zones in Tassila, Aït Melloul and Tiznit with the total cost of rehabilitation amounting to nearly 90 MDhs.

As part of the integrated strategy for the development of logistics competitiveness, a logistics platform is planned at Aït Melloul to optimize distribution (packaging, transport, etc.) of regional industrial production, in addition to the two competitiveness clusters Agropole and Haliopole.
