The importance of architectural, archaeological and intangible heritage makes of Souss Massa a land of a rich and diverse culture. Many events shape the life of the inhabitants of the region.

Thus, dance, song, music and literature highlighted many moussems and festivals organized each year in the different provinces. The cultural infrastructure in the region with 33 libraries, 8 museums, 13 cultural complexes and 7 theaters also contribute fully in the cultural development.
The architectural, archaeological and intangible heritage makes of Souss Massa a very rich territory (rock carvings, walls, ramparts, fortified granaries known as Igoudars, Ksours, Kasbahs, etc ...) Aware of the importance of these resources, the Regional Council has set up a strategy to boost the sector, preserve this heritage and make it contribute in the overall development.

To serve these objectives, the Souss Massa Association for Cultural Development was created and is also strengthening the regional institutional framework of culture. In collaboration with all the associations and governmental and non-governmental organizations and in particular the Regional Directorate of Culture, this association aims to contribute to the restructuring of the cultural and artistic sector, to preserve and enhance the tangible and intangible heritage of the region and to encourage intellectual, artistic and cultural creativity.
